Come for an elegant RACE-DAY LUNCHEON with raffles, auctions and music.

We are excited to welcome Gretchen Van Hoesen, PSO Principal Harp PSO and James Gorton, PSO Co-Principal Oboe Emeritus as our keynote speakers and performers and WQED’s Jim Cunningham as our guest of honor.

Tickets are $50. RSVP deadline is May 2.

TMC offers over $40,000 in music scholarships annually to students from the Pittsburgh area. All proceeds go to our college scholarship fund. Please consider helping with fundraising beyond your ticket and auction spending. Donations will be acknowledged in the program.  TMC is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

Concert Program

Our Keynote Speakers Gretchen Van Hoesen and James Gorton will speak about their careers and the importance of the TMC scholarship awarded to their daughter, Heidi Van Hoesen Gorton, now principal harp for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Gretchen and Jim will give a short performance then you will also be entertained by TMC scholars Jacob McAleavey, string bass, by Sarah Nadler, soprano, and by Pittsburgh Concert Society viola duet winners Jimmy Cunningham and Devin Moore from the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra (PYSO). Following the performances will be a tribute to our Guest of Honor, Jim Cunningham, host of WQED’s classical morning show.

The Pittsburgh Golf Club is at 5280 Northumberland Street. Simply head west on Northumberland Street in Squirrel Hill until it ends at the golf club. Valet parking is included so just drop your car at the door and head in to the registration table where you will be given your table number.
