Free Public Concert: String Ensemble & Winds Division
Come hear the TMC String Ensemble and Woodwinds perform Ottorino Respighi's "Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 1" during the TMC public concert on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 1 pm at Calvary Episcopal Church in Shadyside. This beautiful piece was composed in 1917 and is inspired by Italian music of the 16th century.
The String Ensemble will also perform the Schubert Quintet in C major, 1st movement.
Paul Critser is the musical director and conductor of this rich spring program.
A reception will follow the program.

"Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 1"– Ottorino Respighi
Suite No. 1 was composed in 1917. It was based on Renaissance lute pieces by Simone
Molinaro, Vincenzo Galilei (father of Galileo) and additional anonymous composers.
